Mary and I travelled via Westjet to Calgary to visit Mike. He picked us up at the airport and after having lunch at a mall in the southeast he took us back to his new condominum. Over the next four days we explored Calgary and drove out to the mountains twice. We acquired a whole new appreciation of Calgary when Mike took us around many of the older neighbourhoods. It is truly a lovely city. Mike's new condo is just off the Mission District and backs on the Elbow River right next door to the Talisman Sports Centre. It is a great place to walk and explore and is only a 15 minute walk downtown. The C train is only a block away which makes access very easy.
In the mountains we drove to several places including Lake Minnewonka, Canmore and Banff. I've attached a few pictures.
