Groupies in the Algarve

We all got together for a visit to Monchique to the sausage festival

For those of you interested in finding a European place for a holiday in mid-winter, Portugal is wonderful.  The climate is warm, yet moderate and you are surrounded by wonderful places to visit and friends are easy to make.  We like it because it is culturally different and keeps us busy exploring.  It would take years to explore even a fraction of this country and when you consider that you can do numerous side trips to Spain, Gibraltar and Morocco it has lots of variety.  Personally I love to try and speak the language (for which I am frequently corrected) which can be somewhat challenging.  "Eo gostava, deu pastel de nata e due cafe com lite; pour favor".
